The Biggest State In The USA
With The 3rd Lowest Population

Yep, that is a fact.  Nope, not kidding at all.  To put in perspective, ALASKA is about 40% larger than Texas, and Texas is bigggggg!  But, Alaska is massive, no other way to put it, Alaska is mega big and under populated with a population of about 730,000, that’s all and we have a lot to share.

We have a ton of Alaskan stories to share with you, for one, we were planning on visiting Alaska for 3 months maximum, however by our almost 3rd month, God had other plans for us.  Let’s just say, over extending our expedition in Alaska, was not by choice, but by organic necessity, safety and overall, unexpected emergency.

A brief synopsis… Libertad, our Land Rover Discovery overheated on us in the City of Glennallen driving up from the city of Valdez on the southern tip of Alaska.  And, when we say City, Glennallena nd Valdez are not what you normally have in mind for a city, so don not expect to see large building, paved clean roads, where your major store is your local supermarket.  With that said, Valdez has water community fisherman feel, while Glennalen has a big gas station and it is major hub when traveling on the one major road from North to South, a hub for truck drivers, tourists and locals.  While Valdez is a tourist trap with all the tourist restaurants and gift shop facing the boat basin, Glennalen has a local community presence and little touristic attractions.

So… wait a minute, back to our brief synopsis, let’s make that long story short, we overheated in Copper Head, Glenallen, waited 2 weeks for AAA to tow us to the big city of Alaska, Anchorage, which is about 5 hours away and that experience was a total nightmare.  Can you imagine driving alone with your toddler and getting stranded on the side of the road and not getting towed, because AAA has this insane policies.  Ok, I am diverting, let me get back on track and that story for another page.
