THE STORY The Eastern Canadian Experience

We drove from Albany, New York, USA to the closet border to Canada’s capital city of Ottawa. We entered Canada on August 19th, 2024 and exited Canada on November 1st, 2024. We drove over 2,000 miles in our micro camper SUV Libertad. A few minor repairs were performed on our vehicle while in Canada. Our overall experience through Eastern Canada was exceptionally positive, minus a few hiccups here and there, however overall we had an adventurous time that was both pleasant and wonderful. The Canadian culture was extremely unique as expected, making it very different from our American and Dominican cultures. Considering United States and Canada are neighbors with some friendly borders between then and shared history, the two cultures are extremely different. One point I do want to share is how friendly, helpful, caring and welcoming Canadians were towards us.

The Western Canadian Experience

Wow! Who knew that my son and I would have visited two more Provinces and one Territory in Canada? Well, we did, because that was the plan and intention, we love Canada and fell deeply in love with the British Colombia natural landscapes, wow! and I mean Wow! One waterfall prettier than the next, stunning landscapes, breathtaking. Our main destination was Alaska, USA and we sure did not want to miss the Western beauties of Canada, which was the only way to enter Alaska by the way, just look at your map and you will see. In order to maximize our exploring opportunities, we decided to enter Canada via Montana, USA and that was the best route for us. We visited the Province of Alberta, British Colombia and headed way up north to Yukon Territory. This was epic between the remoteness and dust everywhere.
